The Auckland Stakeholder Network will understand and abide by the Treaty of Waitangi in its entirety:

Functions
The primary function of the network will be to ensure that appropriate consultation and collaboration with service users occurs to complement and be included into the formal DHB processes merging a qualitative and quantitative perspective.
The network’s involvement in meeting its purposes may be through the following actions:
- Critique of what is currently available
- Participate in the design and analysis in needs assessment processes
- Participate at a strategic level in planning and development of services
- Participate at a strategic level in evaluation and monitoring processes
- Act as the agent of change
- Leadership role in building relationships within the sector
- Assure that the local stakeholder network communication systems are robust
The following are a list of minimal activities that the network will undertake:
- Developing a skilled and recovery focused workforce
- Designing and implementing a quality improvement ethos
- Quality Audits
- Population Needs Analysis
- Identifying Priorities for Local Service Development
- Development of a Vision for Future Service Development
- Conducting Consultation Processes
- Specification and Description of Services
- Development of Service Evaluation Framework.
