Kia ora and welcome to the Smokefree Resource Site.

The best thing you can do for the health of those who smoke is to advise them to become smokefree and provide them support to quit. This site gives you the resources and information to help people become smokefree. It also includes resources to help your organisation support smokefree lifestyles such as policy or organisational guidelines.

If you yourself are wanting to talk to someone about the options for becoming smokefree you can contact:

  • The Quitline ph 0800 778 778 or
  • Ask someone from your GP practice or any other health service you might visit and if they can help you or direct you to someone who can.

Contribution to these resources has been made by many District Health Boards, PHOs and non-government organisations, and their generosity in sharing their knowledge and resources is much appreciated.
